STUDY IN LAW BOOKS -A PROFILE
Legal Profession took its roots in India way back in the year 1772 during the British Rule and went on metamorphosing up till the year 1961, whereby Bar Council of India was vested with the discretion of laying standards and regulating legal education.
India stands second to U.S. with about 500 law colleges and today’s law student needs to grow academically and professionally just as a Doctor or an Engineer. The Student of law needs to equip himself with theory and practice of law which contains court culture and court craft and translating the benefits of justice to the society which he lives in. This amounts to transforming the caliber of future student of law to the standards of a globally relevant legal scenario.
Bearing this in its consideration the Bar Council of India has formulated a uniform pattern of legal education all over India with a uniform syllabus to maintain uniformity of standards of legal education.
A range of new faculties like Environmental Law, Intellectual property law, Cyber Laws, Consumer Protection Law, Alternate Dispute Resolution law etc have been added and many such evolving legal educational requirements would be offing. Keeping this in view, the authors, Dr. T. Padma, LLM., Ph.D., (LLD) and Sri K. P.C. Rao, FCS, FICWA, LLB have strived their best to provide the students a very sharp bird’s eye view through “STUDENT LAW BOOK SERIES” without compromising on the focus of the subjects dealt with.
The Student Law Book Series is being brought out into the market through the reputed publishing house “ ALT Publications”, who have been in this line of publishing Books and periodicals and leading Law Journals, like Supreme Court Journal, Andhra Law times, Andhra Weekly Reporter, ALT Revenue and Legislative Supplements and ALT (Criminal), with its presence in the legal world for over a period of five decades.
